Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts wird zwei Hotels in Jebel Sifah (Oman) und
in El Gouna (Ägypten) betreiben.
Altdorf/Kairo, 9. September 2010 - Orascom Development (Orascom Development
Holding AG) gibt die Unterzeichnung von zwei Management-Verträgen mit Four
Seasons Hotels and Resorts bekannt. In Oman wird das Four Seasons Resort
Oman at Jebel Sifah 200 Zimmer und 75 Wohneinheiten umfassen und dürfte
voraussichtlich im Laufe des Jahres 2013 den Betrieb aufnehmen. Das Four
Seasons Resort Oman ist eine weitere Ergänzung im Rahmen des Gesamtkonzepts
dieses Resort-Projektes, welches sich damit als neueste Luxusdestination am
Golf etabliert. Orascom Development besitzt 70% an Muriya Toursim
Development (Muriya), der Entwicklungsgesellschaft für Jebel Sifah. Diese
wurde im März 2006 im Sultanat Oman als Joint Venture zwischen der Gruppe
und Omran, der staatlichen Tourismusentwicklungs- und Investment-Behörde,
gegründet.
In El Gouna, der Vorzeigestadt von Orascom, plant Four Seasons ein zweites
Resort in Ägypten zu eröffnen. Das Four Seasons Resort El Gouna wird 150
Zimmer und 65 Wohneinheiten umfassen und voraussichtlich im Jahr 2014
eröffnet werden. Die Präsenz der Marke Four Seasons bestätigt die Stellung
von El Gouna als führender Destination am Roten Meer und dürfte den Weg für
weitere Immobilienprojekte innerhalb der Stadt ebnen.

als auch an der EGX Egyptian Exchange (Sekundärkotierung;
ISIN:EGG676K1D011) kotiert. Im Dezember 2009 modifizierte Orascom
Development ihr Sekundärlisting an der EGX durch die Ausgabe und das
Listing von Egyptian Depository Receipts (EDR; jeder EDR repräsentiert 1/20
einer Aktie der Gruppe), die in ägyptischen Fund handelbar sind. Zuvor
wurde die Aktien der Gruppe sowohl an der SIX als auch an der EGX in
Schweizer Franken gehandelt. Mit dieser Massnahme wird der Handel an der
EGX vereinfacht und die Liquidität im Titel erhöht.
Heute ist Orascom Development in neun Ländern (Ägypten, Jordanien,
Vereinigte Arabische Emirate, Oman, Schweiz, Marokko, Grossbritannien,
Montenegro und Rumänien) aktiv und hält rund um den Globus Ausschau nach
weiteren Projektmöglichkeiten in noch schwach entwickelten aber dennoch
attraktiven Gegenden. Die Gruppe betreibt momentan vier Städte: El Gouna am
Roten Meer in Ägypten sowie Taba Heights auf der Sinai-Halbinsel (Ägypten),
das nach demselben Geschäftsmodell wie El Gouna betrieben wird. The Cove
(Ras Al Khaimah, V.A.E.) ist die erste Destination der Gruppe ausserhalb
