UMS Reports Triple-Digit Revenue and Earnings Growth in the First Six
Months of
2001.

Group revenues grow by 154% in the first half of the year.
EBIT (up 260%)
and
net income (up 346%) also experience above-average growth

Hamburg, August 27, 2001. UMS International AG, the provider of mobile
healthcare concepts for innovative medical technology, published its 2001
mid-
year report today, again showing growth rates in the triple digits. Group
revenues more than doubled over the same period in the previous year,
increasing
by 154%, from EURO 7.9 million to EURO 20.1 million. Gross profits
improved by
159%, from EURO 3.3 million to EURO 8.5 million. The earnings before
interest
and taxes (EBIT) also reflects above-average growth: Increasing by +260%,
it
more than tripled and grew from EURO 0.9 million in the previous year to
EURO
3.3 million. At the same time, the six-month net income of EURO 0.3 million

increased by 346%, to EURO 1.4 million.
