Dirk Markus removed from executive position
Business areas reassigned since January

At yesterday's extraordinary meeting, the supervisory board of ARQUES
Industries AG recalled Dirk Markus from the executive committee with
immediate
effect.
Previously the underlying management contract had not been
extended.

Markus was on the executive committee of ARQUES Industries AG since 5
December
2002 and mainly responsible for the areas "restructuring" and "finances".
With appointment of the new Chief Operations Officer, Markus Zöllner, in
January 2005 the "restructuring" area was reassigned. On 5 January 2005
Mrs.
Burkhart joined ARQUES as commercial manager and handles the "finances"
area
independently to a large extent.

This decision paves the way for the appointment of a professional CFO.
