Ad hoc announcement acc. to § 15 WpHG
AdLINK posts positive pre-tax result
Sales up 15% to EUR 47.8 million
Montabaur, February 24, 2005. The Management Board of AdLINK Internet Media
AG
today announced preliminary results according to US-GAAP for the fiscal
year
2004. For the first time the company was able to post a positive pre-tax
result according to US-GAAP in 2004.
According to the preliminary US-GAAP results for the fiscal year 2004
announced today, consolidated sales grew by 15% to EUR 47.8 million
(comparative figure for 2003: EUR 41.6 million - excluding the group's
subsidiary in Switzerland which was no longer consolidated in 2004). The
preliminary pre-tax result improved from EUR -1.7 million (previous year)
to
EUR 0.25 million.
AdLINK markets online advertising space and digital marketing concepts in
Europe. AdLINK is represented by 12 offices in 11 European countries and
has a
total placement network of more than 2,800 websites gene
Rating an average
of
4.1 billion page impressions per month in 2004.
AdLINK Internet Media AG has decided to draw up its consolidated financial
statements for fiscal 2004 according to International Financial Reporting
Standards (IFRS) - formerly IAS (International Accounting Standards). This
will lead to deviations compared with US-GAAP, especially with regard to
the
reporting of goodwill, as the change in accounting must be made
retrospectively. This means that a goodwill item which was not impaired
according to US-GAAP, and thus no longer amortized, is to be written down
retrospectively and in scheduled amounts under IFRS. The change will only
affect one year as IFRS will replace scheduled amortization with impairment
tests in 2005, as already used by US-GAAP.
The audited figures for fiscal 2004 and the reconciliation from US-GAAP to
IFRS will be presented in the annual report of AdLINK Internet Media AG in
late March 2005.
